Morro Bay State Park also includes a large marina and an 18-hole golf course.

The 8,000-acre park is capped off by 1,347-foot Valencia Peak, and Spooner’s Cove is popular among beachgoers. Activities include mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, backpacking, camping and more.
Museum of Natural History, Morro Bay State Park Exhibits at Morro Bay’s Museum of Natural History explore the region’s variety of animal and plant life, the estuary and bay ecosystems, and the natural and tidal forces that helped shape it. A hands-on, interactive environment promotes learning and inspires the imagination of visitors old and young. The Museum of Natural History is located in Morro Bay State Park and is within minutes of the Heron Rookery, Montaña de Oro State Park, the El Moro Elfin Forest and Audubon's Sweet Springs Nature Preserve.
